Day 9, Banff, AB

Banff is really a beautiful area.  We wake up to birds singing, the air cool and crisp, and surrounded with mountains.

We started our day cooking hamburgers in preparation of our future staff cookout.  Jim and Spence are cooking the meat while Madi and I are getting them ready for later usage.

After lunch we decided to explore the Banff area.  As we drove up Tunnel Mountain Drive we could see from a distance the massive Fairmount Banff Springs Hotel. WOW was all we could say.  Just below the hotel was the beautiful Bow Falls.  As we left the Falls we drove past “Cascades of Time Gardens” (again a beautiful place).

Downtown Banff was another beautiful area.  What a great place for shopping.  The stores carried very nice merchandise.  And yes there are lots of ways to spend your money here.

This turned out to be a very sad day for the Caravan.  We had two rigs (4 guests)  make a decision to leave and go back home to the lower states (one was medical and the other was mechanical).  And another one of our couples had to send their precious doggy named Dixie to doggy heaven.

Social was at 5:00 and most of our guests were there.  Everyone wanted to say good-byes to our new departing friends.  And about 9:00 pm we had a visit from a new friend we met at the Calgary Stampede (they left at 11:00 pm ).
It was a long day for us, but as usual a “GREAT” day.
