Day 3 Hill Spring, Canada

Today  is Thursday, July 12, 2012 and we had a very busy and informative day.  We met the bus at 8:25 a.m. and headed for an adventure to the Remington Carriage Center and the Head Smashed in Buffalo Jump Interpretive Center.

As we entered the Remington Carriage Center we were a divided into two groups and each had a tour guide.  The center was opened in 1993 and houses 280 carriages.  The tour guides were very knowledgeable and friendly.   In our free time we visited the restoration area of the center.  We also were treated to a carriage ride around the grounds.

Then it was off to the "Head Smashed in Buffalo Jump" Center where our guide, a Blackfoot Indian, Edwin Small Legs took us on a guided tour explaining the history.

We returned to camp for a brief period and then walked a short distance to the "Great Canadian Barn Dance" barn for a welcome to Canada dinner and live show.  The food was excellent and the live entertainment was fabulous.

We were entertained by the multi-generation family band of the Kunkel Family as they presented a collection of musical favorites inspired by Western legends.
